Note:  General: Lillian Shattuck was born Elizabeth B. Shattuck 8 Feb 1857 in Canton, Norfolk, MA. A student of Julius Eichberg, Shattuck went on to be part of the first all female string quartet (ca. 1898), and later established a music school in Boston, teaching violin and other stringed instruments, ca. 1895-1936.
