Historical: Dwight L. Elmendorf was a member of the New York Camera Club. A painter before he became a photographer, Elmendorf was known for his hand-colored lantern slides and his popular lantern slide lectures.
Provenance: Gift of the Theodore Roosevelt (then Roosevelt Memorial) Association, 1943. Purchased from Elmendorf by the Roosevelt Memorial Association.
